FAQ Onyx Sunless
How long does the tan last?
As long as you follow the “Getting Ready” and “After Care” steps, your tan can last for up to 10 days, eventually fading evenly. The better you prepare your skin before tanning (exfoliate dead skin cells) and the more moisturizer you use after the treatment, the longer your tan will last.
Can I sunbathe after spray tanning session?
Sunless tanning does not constitute any obstacles to sunbathing or indoor tanning. However, bear in mind that sunless solutions do not contain any UV filters and will not protect your skin from radiation.
How long do I have to wait for the effect?
Depending on the intensity of tan you want to achieve and DHA percentage in particular solution, you can obtain the effect of brown skin in 6 to 8 hours.
What should I do to get ready for the spray tan?
If you want to achieve an even tan which lasts for up to 2 weeks, exfoliate dead skin cells no sooner than one day before the treatment. You should also remove any body hair to make sure the solution evenly penetrates the skin. On the day of the tanning session, do not use any lotions, creams or deodorants as they could be an obstacle for the solution.
How should I take care of my skin after tanning?
To properly nourish your skin and make the tan last longer, use a moisturizer at least twice a day. When your skin is properly taken care of, there will be no flakey/dry areas.
Do I have to tan naked?
It is up to you. If you do not like tan lines, you can tan naked. Alternatively, you can wear a bikini or disposable underwear.
Can a spray tan make me look slimmer?
It is obvious that tanned skin gives the impression of a slender figure. Additionally, if the spray tan specialist knows some tricks, they may be able to create the illusion of toned muscles and a slimmer appearance.
Does it leave stains on clothes?
If you put your clothes on when your skin is not yet fully dry, the solution may stain slightly. If such occurs, one wash is enough to remove any stains.
Does a sunless tan offer any sort of sun protection?
No, even with a sunless tan you should use SPF sunscreen to protect your skin from UV rays.
